We are excited to announce that our film on Edgar Allan Poe will be virtually screened on his birthday, Sunday, January 19, 2025 via Facebook Live! The event organizers have been holding a Poe birthday celebration every year since 1981!
There will be an interview of the filmmaker at 11 am and the film screening will begin at 12 pm ET. Watch with viewers around the world: https://www.facebook.com/@EdgarAllanPoeEvermore.
Here's the schedule for the Poe Birthday celebration this Sunday, January 19, 2025. (All times below are ET.)
11 am Jeff Jerome, former curator of the Poe House in Baltimore for 35 years, gives opening remarks
11:15 - 12 pm Interview with Andrew Kaplan, writer/director In Search of Edgar Allan Poe
12 - 1:30 pm Screening of Part One
1:30-1:40 Intermission
1:40 - 3:15 Screening of Part Two
3:15 - 4 pm Dramatic reading of Trilogy of Terror: "The Raven," "The Tell-Tale Heart," and "The Masque of the Red Death"
4 pm - 4:45 pm Event goes from virtual to in-person. Concluding ceremony at Poe's gravesite in Baltimore. Public is invited to attend. Includes reenactment of Poe Toaster, birthday cake, well wishes, and more!

As part of our mission to further engage audiences, we offer film talks and film screenings at various clubs, libraries, lifelong learning centers, conferences, festivals, and other events. Our audiences range from students to seniors.
Past film talks include the Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt, Maryland; a lifetime learning center based in New York City; and a film screening in Berlin, Germany. There will be a future talk at a lifetime learning center in New Jersey in April 2025.
